General Information:

The first sets of traffic signals went into operation at the junctions of Northbourne Avenue & London Circuit and Northbourne Avenue & Cooyong Street in Civic, on 23rd October 1965. 1

Since then, numerous traffic signals have sprung up all over the ACT. There are now 178 intersections controlled by traffic lights in the A.C.T. Additionally, there are 23 signalised pedestrian crossings. 1
