General Information:

The Tuggeranong Parkway and acts as a major route for the ACT's western and south-western suburbs in the Woden and Tuggeranong Valleys. The Tuggeranong Parkway is 4 lanes wide, has a speed limit of 100 km/h, and is divided either by a concrete wall or large median strip with trees.

History:

• 1972: Construction of bridge over the Molonglo River. *
• 1978: Hindmarsh Dr interchange constructed. *
• 1980: The Rock Garden at the Australian National Botanic Gardens was built using boulders excavated during the construction of the Tuggeranong Parkway **
• July 2007: Four speed cameras were installed along the route. These cover both directions, near Cotter Road overpass, and both directions, near Hindmarsh Drive overpass.***
