General Information:
Originally part of the Sturt Highway, the Barossa Valley Way is located in South Australia's Barossa region and connects most of the regional population centres within the district and carries more than 4000 vehicles per day.*
History:
- Late 1960s: Sturt Highway moved from Barossa Valley Way alignment to the Gawler Bypass.
- 1998: Implementation of B19 route number.
- 27 January 2004: Implementation of overtaking lanes between Rowland Flat and Tanunda. Also between Gawler and Sandy Creek.*
