Typical Temporary Road Barriers
Common in most roadwork situations, these barriers were placed after recent resurfacing on Lyons Road Toormina, NSW. In the background is the Pacific Highway (NR1) interchange.

These are located on most NSW freeways, this is a phone used in the event of emergencies. You can only connect to a operator at the traffic control centre.

Old Main Roads Board bridge plaque
Found on the Duck River Bridge on the Parramatta Road in Sydney is this very old bridge plate from the 1920s. Many of these were replaced as the department was renamed.

Guard Rail Ends
The new style guard rail ends in NSW, only started appearing in late 2002. Taken on Putty Road at Colo Heights NSW. These come in two styles, the one shown above and an vertical oblong shape

1950/60s Victorian CRB guide post
Example of a 1950/60s CRB guide post still in use in 2005. Note metal reflector and black-painted base. Many of these are still to be found on back roads, but many now have round plastic reflectors fitted.

Safe-T-Cam
Used to monitor the movements of heavy vehicles, this Safe-T-Cam is lcoated on NH15 (New England Hwy) at Bendemeer, NSW.

Traffic Dome
Installed during the 1950 and 60s, these are used to force drivers to keep left of the centre of the road at intersections. These are slowly being removed from roads and replaced with concrete islands and painted dividers.

Common all over Melbourne, this a tramline on Swanston Street near Flinders Street Station in the Melbourne CBD. This photo was taken in 1998.

Old Wooden Bridge
Taken November 2005, this old wooden bridge is unfortunately closed due to old age, however it's located on Wallabadah - Nundle Road at Wallabadah, over Goonoo Goonoo Creek. Traffic now passes along side the bridge via a floodway.
