Metroad 1 (Sydney: Waterfall to Wahroonga via Harbour
Tunnel)
Metroad 1 is designed to link Sydney to Wollongong
and Sydney to the Central Coast. I takes over from National
Route 1 and National Highway 1 in the metropolitain
area.
Routes used include Pacific Hwy,
Warringah Fwy, Sydney Harbour Tunnel,
Cahill Expressway, Eastern Distributor, Southern Cross
Dr, General Holmes Dr, The Grand Pde, President Av and
Princes Hwy and suburbs the pass through include Engadine,
Heathcote, Sutherland, Sylvania, Brighton-Le-Sands,
Kensington, North Sydney, Chatswood and Wahroonga.
The route's southern terminus
is at Waterfall (joining up at NR1), and the northern
terminus is at Wahroonga at the junction known as Pearce's
Corner, with Pennant Hills Road (Metroad 7), Pacific
Highway (State Route 83) and the Sydney - Newcastle
Freeway (NR1).
