State Route 22
State Route 22 is located on Brisbane's south side,
travelling from Wooloongabba
to Cleveland via O'Keefe Street, Old Cleveland Road,
Morton Bay Road, Finucane Road and Shore Street West.
The northern terminus is on the corner of O'Keefe &
Ipswich Road at Wooloongabba and in the south its terminus
is on the corner of Shore Street West and Waterloo Street
at Cleveland. The route travels through suburbs such
as Carindale, Capalaba and Alexandra Hills, among others
and is mostly 2 lanes in each direction, with a significant
amount divided, with Morton Bay Road at arterial / near
motorway standard and actually follows the reservation
for the Eastern Freeway which was planned in the 1970s.
