At Loganlea it duplexes state route 95 from Chambers Flat Road before branching off at the suburb of Waterford and travelling on through the Gold Coast Hinterland into the Tamborine Mountain region, then over the Coomera River and terminating at Helensvale at the M1 Pacific Motorway interchange and the intersection of the Old Pacific Highway and Hope Island Road (State Route 4).

Roads along the route include Wellington Road, Logan Road, Kingston Road, Brisbane - Beenleigh Road, Nerang Street, Waterford - Tamborine Road, Albert Street, Tamborine Mountain Road, Eagle Heights Road, Long Road, Macdonnell Road, Tamborine - Oxenford Road and Old Pacific Highway.
