A300
(Midland Highway)
The A300 is more or less a north-south
route that acts as a rural ring road of sorts, which
starts at Benalla at junction with the Hume Freeway
(NH-M31) and ends at Geelong at the Princes Freeway
(M1).
Starting at Benalla, A300 heads west
and takes in the following towns: Nalinga, Shepparton,
Maroopna, Tatura, and Cooma. A300 then heads in a southerly
direction from Runnymede and takes in Goornong, Bendigo,
Quarry Hill, Harcourt, Castlemaine, Mt Franklin, Hepburn,
Daylesford, Creswick, Invermay Park, Ballarat, Mount
Pleasant, Magpie, Mt Helen, and Geelong.
