B340 (Goulburn Valley Highway)

The B340 section of the Goulburn Valley Highway takes over from the NH-M39 part at Seymour, north of Melbourne.

The route takes in towns such as Seymour, Trawool, Kerrisdale, Homewood, Yea, Molesworth, Cathkin, Koriella, Alexandra, and Thornton, before finishing up at Eildon.

The route is quite windy in parts and its western terminus is with the interchange of the Hume Freeway & Goulburn Valley Freeway at Seymour, in the east the route ends at Riverside and Eildon Drives at Eildon.

B340 duplexes with B300 (Melba Highway & Maroondah Highway) for 18 km between Yea and Cathkin.
