The route's northern terminus is
at the junction with Echuca Road (C355) at Undera.
The route is a very straight road passing through Gillieston,
Tatura, Murchison and Murchison East before terminating
with the Goulburn Valley Highway (A39) at Wahring.
The route crosses the Midland Highway (A300) at Tatura.
The section of C357 from the M39
to C357 between Wahring and Murchison East was once
the Goulburn Valley Highway and there is also a duplex
in the same area for about 2 km with C345.
